It was the annual Chicago Aquatic experience at Schaumburg over the weekend. The event has traditionally been scheduled between November and December. The first year I discovered this event I went on a Sunday. That was a mistake. Not only it was really crowded, I could not find parking but there were many screaming kids. So last year I took a Friday off of work and drove down alone to attend. It was a fabulous experience when you can go on a weekday. This year I decided to do the same but with the support of my family too. And the best part- I have been here and other shows a few times I actually starting to make some connection with familiar faces.
My first stop was Beyond the Reef‘s booth (as usual). Below is one of the many frag tanks they set up. I purchased a few fish and some coral frags from the at a fraction of what one would normally pay at a store (or even online) at the show.

Next stop was Clam Mania with some beautiful maxima clams. This is the first time Clam mania comes out to this event and I have been following them forever!
So after a few stops the load in my cooler began to be so heavy I stopped taking much more photos. But below is the result of the loot for the day!
