The Getty is located just north of Los Angles but not quite out of the valley. Take highway 100 north and you can’t miss it to your left. The Getty institute and its art collection is open to the public at no admission fee if you choose to arrive on foot or public transportation. But there is a 15 dollar parking fee should you choose to drive.
There is a tram running from the bottom of the hill and back for those who aren’t willing to hike up. It is also free of charge.
I must comment for an art gallery that features some historical master pieces in its collection, there is no reason not to visit the Getty while in LA.
plus you also get a phenomenal view of the entire LA valley from top of the hill
