Ho Chan marine reserve is one of the premier marine national parks in the world. Unlike some others in the world to have included some part of the island or landmass, this marine reserve is 100% submersed at all times. Touching or removing anything dead or alive in this park is strictly prohibited.
In general, the park is divided up into ABCD four zones. The zones are easily distinguishable based on their specific vegetation and critter abundance. Some areas is entirely made up of turtle grass. Some area consists mainly of reef front and tidal zone. The two areas of this park that draws the most visitors are zone A & D, the tidal reef zone, and the shark-ray ally respectively.
