Wife went to spend the day with the in-law. So I decided to take my bike and go around town for a nice ride for the day. Started off near my house at the North side of Madison.
The initial 20 minutes through the village of Maple Bluff is actually the most challenging part of the entire ride with some steep inclines. This is the Tenney Lock at the south end of Lake Mendota. The canal connects Mendota to Lake Monona.
View from Tenney Lock looking North. Dead center of this photo was where my ride started.
View from where I decided to turn around, right at the country Hwy PD of Fitchburg. Total distance about 14 miles, 27-28 miles round trip.
Cute bridge over the Fitchburg exchange
On my way back, 3 hours countdown to the Wisconsin Badger’s game and there is some grilling activity going on.
Camp Randall Stadium, the home of Badgers on a game day.
Tent town along the bike path near Camp Randall, notice the Badger on top of that truck?
